I like Louie's for their "Under $10" menu, with the majority of food items being fairly reasonable. And you get what you pay for. In this relaxed pub setting, you get generous portions of typical bar food, from burgers to pizzas to salads. Some of the items are pretty good: from the chips and salsa, fried green beans, wraps, and the BBQ chicken pizza (and I am not a usual fan of BBQ pizza!). The salads and burgers are so-so. The cheap food makes room for drinks being the feature of the day. And the ambiance here "On the Lake" fits that, with many television screens, and a noisy room filled with a noisy crowd. One could see this as a lively sports bar, but if you are looking for a quiet, intimate meal, you came to the wrong place. All in all, Louie's On the Lake is a great place, if you are looking for a lively time drinking with your buddies.

Louie's lakeside is the best Louie's, for sure! Lots of TVs for any sports fan, yummy food with daily specials, tall beers and good drink specials, awesome patio and perfect place to watch the sunset over some mean margaritas. My favorite things are the queso, fried green beans, SW egg rolls, pepperoni pizza and the crispy chicken wrap. If you ever get a chance to try the French onion soup, do it!! It's my fav. The waitstaff are awesome!! I've come to know a lot of them from going in so much, but I rarely have an empty glass, and the food is always on point. You can also bring your dog on the patio and they will provide a water bowl for it. I love that's it's dog friendly and you can stop for some eats while you're out at the lake for a day of fun. They also have bands on Fridays during the summertime. Lots of people come out and it's really fun to sit in the grass and chill out to some music.

I have been to all the Louie's and this is the only one I was disappointed with. The view is great but the servers were unfriendly. We walked in and never got greeted by anyone so we just sat down anywhere. The salsa tasted funny and the food wasn't all that great. I prefer the one in Yukon or the one off Meridian.

It's fine, I guess... The service was kind of flaky. We had two different servers taking our orders, providing our food, and checking up on us. Ultimately, this seemed to lead to some miscommunication; what I requested (some additional condiments) never came even after I asked both of them. The black bean burger was pretty good. In an attempt to be healthy, I opted for steamed veggies instead of fries. I will carry the dissatisfaction of that decision with me for the remainder of my existence. I don't have anything against chain restaurants (cue eye roll when people mention how much they dislike chain restaurants), so I think Louie's does the job in a pinch. The nice view is a bonus, but the food manages to be forgettable even while tasting decent. This place is so standard that I've run out of ways to describe its standard-ness.

Had the roast beef dip with fries. It was good though What I enjoyed here most was sitting outside with a view of the lake.

Nice restaurant with beautiful view right by the lake. Food was delicious and not too expensive. I definitely recommend it. Great for a group or date night setting if you would like something casual.

Food was good, beer was cold. The noise level of the place was deafening and I am hard of hearing. We moved out on the patio to get some noise relief but the wind was blowing 15 to 20 mph so you couldn't take your hands off your plates, napkins or drinks unless you wanted to lose them. The table behind us had a little trouble figuring that out so they lost everything on their table twice. Bottom line is it's nothing special and I probably wouldn't go back.

Man, Louie's has really gone downhill quality wise. I'm not sure if it's the fact this restaurant group is quickly expanded its portfolio and opening other successful concepts or what... But it's like they've forgotten about long lost Louie's. I used to love coming here for a tall frosty glass of beer. Well a long time ago they did away with the tall. Now they've done away with the glass. Hey have PLASTIC MUGS. First of all, who goes to a bar (Louie's is in fact a bar and grill) and gets a plastic mug. Second of all, who wants to drink out of a plastic mug on the patio by the lake?! Like. Your beer is already lukewarm by the time you get it. The food quality has also tanked. Just mediocre food. The queso thickens minutes after it arrived making it nearly impossibly to dip. Wings fried almost dry. Flavor just meh all around. The service was mediocre as well. Our server wasn't friendly, she had VERY dry humor to the point where I was questioning if she was just being flat out rude. She said "well I guess he doesn't want food since he's just on his phone" AND WALKED AWAY. My jaw dropped and I literally just stared. Super bummed as it used to be a go-to.

Great service...Friendly people.I always have a great time whenever I go.I have never tried their food so I'll stick to four stars until further notice.

Fun location to drink a few beers on a patio with your puppies and watch a lakeside sunset! Food leaves much to be desired and all items seem to be fried. Domestics are $2 during happy hour which is lovely while watching the sailboats float by. Great people watching from the patio!

It is a seat yourself place. Sat down and ten minutes later got up and left. Not one person came to our table. Not even a menu.

All the restaurants over here have great patios and Louie's is no exception. It's a great spot for a summer night to watch the sun set on the lake, and the food and drinks are decent and pretty consistent. Their pizza is some of my favorite in Oklahoma City, but the burgers and sandwiches are good too. Fried pickles and fried green beans are a must-try if you've never had them! All in all, a nice place to hang out when it's nice outside.

I enjoy Louie's patio in the summer, but the food is mediocre. We've had several issues with food taking up to an hour to get on Sunday's & it's not always hot. The manager has always, however, been very apologetic & has always resolved the issue. (We have only experienced this on Sunday's). The biggest reason I avoid This location is that they've always had some kind of a sewer issue & the bathrooms smell horrible. So we stop for drinks outside & snacks, but we've stopped eating here.

Met some friends for dinner. Had a cheeseburger, fries, and a Sassytini. The burger was decent, fries were cold, and the cocktail was disgusting. The cocktail was $7. Service was pretty good. Restaurant seemed clean.

Last Friday my friend and I decided to go get some queso and chips at Louis Lakeside. We wanted to sit outside and enjoy the Lake. It was such a beautiful day to do this. We walked in and it was seat yourself. We walked onto the patio and it was packed. A couple was leaving and we took their table. The waitress had purple hair and was not the friendliest. We knew what we wanted. My friend had a cider, water and I wanted a coke. We ordered the queso and chips at the same time. She brought us the drinks except my coke. I didn't care at that moment I just wanted the coke with the queso and chips. She brings out the queso and chips at this time I remind her of my coke. She tells me she has not forgotten. So I start eating the chips with queso but for me it really isn't the same without the coke. She walks by and I remind her again about the coke. She said she knows but she has to walk to the other end of the patio to get my drink. Huh?!?!???!? What?!?!?! I have never heard of such a crazy response. Finally she gets me my coke. The queso was luke warm when it came out so you can image how it was when I actually got my coke. They were also doing construction on the patio. Maybe this isn't the best time to do construction. Maybe choose December if you want to change something. My friend and I could hardly hear on another. Very disappointing visit to this Louie's. If you get the lady with the purple hair go to another section.

This place is my favorite! Every other Fridays they have music band and you will enjoy the live music, sunset, and food. Their chicken nachos is always hot and fresh. I am not interested in their margaritas but their spike lemonade with rum/vodka is really good.

  • Amy P.

I got a theta burger Togo with chips and queso. I dunno maybe it's because their isn't a sunset on this cloudy day or what but it wasn't as good as the Meridian location. The burger was warm at best and the fries were good though. There must have been a delay on the fries for my order. The queso was devoured by my other half so we shall try this again as an eat in endeavor next time!

Food was delicious, as always! Our server was very polite! The only problem was that it took a lot of time. They weren't super busy, but it took a while to get everything ordered and out. Highly recommended, though!!

I am typically strongly opposed to chain restaurants, but for Louie's, I have to make an exception. Their food, albeit bar food, is just really yummy! The location by the lake is my favorite place to meet friends after work for a drink or grab some refreshments on their patio after a run around the lake! I am super picky with my orders and they never give me a hard time for basically creating my own salad. It's a fun place to watch a game, a relaxed atmosphere for a date, and a great place to go with a group!

Louie's Lakeside is the perfect place to refuel after a fun day of running or cycling around Lake Hefner. Outside tables go quick, so you need to keep your eye out if you are out and about during a busy part of the day. The staff is friendly, the beer list is ok, and the food is pretty good like most Louie's that I've visited. This is a popular spot after work as well, so if you arrive during happy hour, there will probably be a few others there partaking in libations and taking in a beautiful view of the lake. All in all, this is a great spot to enjoy, whether you are just finishing up a jog in the area or enjoying a cocktail while watching those crazy people run or ride by over and over again! Run on by and give it a try!

This is my favorite spot by the lake. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The prices for the food and the drinks are great. The servers are always polite and fast.

Louie's on the Lake served as the official OKC Thunder watch party for a group of friends and I. During game one of the 2012 Western conference finals we munched on: * fried green beans * chips and queso * spicy boneless wings The fried green beans were okay as the batter had no real seasoning. The chips and queso were free thanks to checking in on that one site which IPO in May 2012. The boneless wings were indeed spicy with a Tabasco flavor kick. Of course a watch party isn't complete without beer! Fortunately Louie's has a wide variety selection including the local "F5 IPA*." Brewed by COOP Ale Works, the F5 IPA is a mild malt body and hop-forward bouquet of Amarillo and Simcoe hop additions impart citrus, grapefruit and pine notes. I tried it and unfortunately it did not blow me away like an F5 Tornado as the after-taste was bitter. I ended up finishing the night with a dependable Blue Moon. The service was great as our waitress frequently followed up on us. Refills were kindly met with a smile. She was also kind enough to find empty chairs for our table.

Had some nachos here that were da bomb....LOADED! Also split a burger with a friend and it was fantastic.....greasy griddled goodness. Not much else to comment on - service was good, drinks stayed filled. It's better than say, Chili's-Applebee's-Friday's - but definitely in the same category - pizza, nachos, burgers and fried appetizers, etc....

My new favorite place to grab some food after a long day. Everything is pretty tasty the staff is always friendly and there is always a spot at the bar while you wait for table. Plenty of vegetarian options. Great view of the lake especially at sunset!

Louies was great! Our waitress Rachel was super attentive!! She came back multiple times to check on us and even asked me to make sure my sandwich was made the way I requested since it varied from the menu a bit. Another nice thing about Louies is that it is non-smoking!! I am not accustomed to going into bars and restaurants where people are allowed to smoke, so much of OklAhoma was a shock to my system that way, not Louies the sign on the door invited you to come in and breathe easy. I would definitely return and I would definitely recommend!

This is one of my favorite spots for after work drinks and food. Not only does the patio have quite a few tables/chairs, but the view is worth the wait. Settled right on the edge of the lake, you're able to have go drinks then take a very short walk down to the lighthouse to take in the view. During sunset, sitting on Louie's patio is a must-see sight. Now that we know that it's a beautiful place to go, we can talk about how great the drinks were. I had draft beer, so it was pretty standard across the board, but the price was very affordable. Other friends of mine had amaretto sours (points off for not carrying Disaronno). We had some appetizers, the chicken fingers and spinach and artichoke dip which was excellent. Their chips are pretty good. Simple is best. The waitress that served us had a sense of pride for her work and was very happy. You could tell that she enjoyed working there, or at least faked it really well. I would recommend this to any out of town-er for cheap food and a beautiful location. Easy access to Hefner Parkway and a nice stroll around the lake.

Some friends and I dropped by Louie's after a round of golf the other day. It was noon and we were going to drink our lunch (Hemingway style), but we ordered food anyway. The spinach dip was tasty and so was the supreme pizza (although the crust could have been crispier). The best things about Louie's are the girls and the view of the lake. We sat at the bar and had a great view of Lake Hefner and our bartender, Amy. She is a sight for sore eyes and nice too. Oh, there's a patio also. It's probably a good place to hang after the sun goes down.

I noticed an unpleasant odor at the front of the restaurant near the hostess stand but wasn't too concerned since I was going to sit outside. (I would left to eat elsewhere if there were no patio seats available) I was seated on the patio and got to take in the great view I had a few beers, which were nice and cold and were served in a frosted glass. I then ordered the chicken strip wrap. The tortilla was too dry and the wrap itself didn't have much flavor. My fries were hot which was great, but the ketchup bottle on the table was empty (and covered in drying ketchup to the point of having to wash your hands after picking it up.) it took a bit for the waitress to come around so I could tell her about the the ketchup problem, but she fetched a new ketchup for me quickly once she arrived. The waitress seemed a little terse in her dealings with our table, but she seemed nice enough. Overall: great place for enjoying summer happy hour on the patio. Not a great place if your main focus is food quality. PS: Gave the third star based solely on the out door patio.

I am a fan of Louie's. This one is the best of the bunch. The food is pretty darn tasty, the waitresses are nice, the view is amazing at sunset and the patio is wonderful when it is nice outside. This is a springtime staple for me. It is always nice to hang out on the lawn and have a few drinks while watching the sun go down and while watching healthy people run around the lake. It is enough to make you order a light beer and talk about how productive you will be in the future. Check it out for a nice meal and beer at sunset.

Had a delicious meal here right before a Thunder playoff game. The food and service were excellent. My blackened Tilapia topped with black-bean salsa, a side of steamed veggies, and a side of fresh fruit was just perfect. Excellent flavor, hot food (I don't like luke warm meals), and the fruit was ripe and sweet. As tip-off time got closer, the place filled up and was very loud. This is a fun atmosphere if you're looking for a little excitement at game time. We left a half hour before game time, very happy with our choice. The menu is extensive, with a good selection under $10, including my tilapia meal. Great value. If you're wanting dinner conversation, it's too loud, but that's a plus for a sports bar and happy-hour spot.

I didn't eat any seafood here, but their margherita pizza is a popular item here and it was delicious. Nice and crowded with locals. The service was good. If you haven't figured it out, the restaurant sits on the lake. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Hence the picture below of the sunset.

I have only had the pizza but it is very good. The view of the lake is really nice and staff is friendly. The band I went and saw last time I was there on a Friday night said "if we didn't contribute to a charity they wanted us to then we were going to hell" Didn't like that and the management should do a better job of booking bands. They were not good at all everyone in the crowd was more interested in their cell phones than the bad.

I'm a patty melt fan from way back and they just brought one slathered with mustard. From Coast to coast no patty melt has ever been presented to me already dressed out in condiments. I didn't like the mustard. Also rather than the two pieces of grilled rye being seared together with cheese and sauted onion, the sandwich came apart. It was almost like toasted bread (not grilled) with the meat and cheese and onion falling out of the melt. Not good folks, additionally the meat had that strange taste that burgers take on when too many are cooked too close together and it tastes like boiled beef. Sorry, but most of my two star rating goes to the five star view from the patio.

My wife is the most beautiful woman I have ever known. I'm a lucky lucky man to spend an early afternoon at such a nice place with such a beautiful woman talking about nothing really, eating very good food and just relaxing. We ate here for brunch basically. It was a beautiful day and we were seated right by the windows overlooking the lake. I had the best bloody Mary I've ever tasted to start. We had sandwiches and coffee after with a big slice of pie. Cant remember what kind, as you can tell by the first sentence i was distracted a bit. (smile) that morning. The service was perfect and we sat and talked and drank coffee for about an hour and a half. It was by all means a perfect brunch and for some reason one of those days I will never forget. Thanks Louie's we will be back.

This is one of our go to spots. It can be a bit loud at times, but it is a bar. The food is solid. We love the sandwiches, the pizza, friend green beans and the soup. You also get a great view of the lake while you grab a bite to eat or something to sip.

Run away from this place - as if you were Barry Sanders running away from your career. This place stinks - literally! The last thing I want is to eat or drink surrounded by sewer smell. Worse of all, management knows about the stench and when questioned, says they have done everything in their power to try and fix it. Whatever. That just goes to show ya, any Bob Stoops establishment reeks. Of course, I can't stand the fact that Stoops pushed OKC City Council to re-evaluate an 8-year memorandum to not allow any further development on the East Wharf. But, of course, Council was easily persuaded. It being Stoops and all. That goes to show you that OU fans are crazier than I first thought - allowing another restaurant to take over a recreation area - where hundred of joggers, walkers and bikers go on a daily basis. Sweet revenge, Bahama Breeze closed its doors. Now the East Wharf not only has to deal with a stinky Stoops bar, but also the probability of empty restaurants. Looks like karma has a sense of humor after all.

I am not sure why the previous two yelpers who reviewed this place provided such a poor rating, personally I thought this place was great! I arrived just after 6pm for happy hour and while it was imminent that parking was going to be a pain, the obvious construction of an additional parking lot made it less of a big deal. Specifically because the restaurant identified its obvious need for more parking!! The place was full, but not crowded. I sat down with a friend at a table and quickly we were served with our drinks and a menu. There are flat panel TVs placed in the right places with each showing a different sporting event. It wasn't till however the sun began to set that I noticed what made Louie's jump off the radar to a place you should go. The bartenders begin to draw back the shades behind the bar and suddenly you had a view of the lake as the sun set. Now, I'm not the sensitive type but this really made all the issues of the day float off in the waves of that lake. The evening just got better as I made small talk with our waitress, learning 7 years later than I we graduated from the same high school. The food was excellent; I had a Southwest wrap with fries that was delightful. The string fries didn't look that appetizing at first, however once I ate one it was difficult to stop eating more. Joined later by some more friends it wasn't difficult for them to be accommodated and it never felt crowded. The atmosphere remained festive and local, it wouldn't have been hard to remain all evening and drink till closing. I'm sure I will be back and hopefully you'll want to stop in as well.

Came here for lunch on a recent business trip. Food was okay, I ordered the soup and half sandwich. Soup was Cream of Broccoli in a toasted bread bowl and the sandwich I had was the Classic Reuben. For some reason I can't seem to find a good Reuben sandwich out of NYC. Soup was okay also, nothing impressive to want to come back again. It seems more like a after-work place with it's large sized bar and lots of LCDs around the restaurant playing ESPN.
